This project delves into the brand identity for "Silk Story," a provider of exquisite silk, textile, and garment products, with a special emphasis on the rich heritage of Burmese silk. The core concept revolves around a timeless elegance, blending traditional artistry with modern sensibilities.
The centerpiece of the brand is a custom illustration featuring a woman gracefully interacting with a loom-like element, symbolizing the craft and heritage behind textile creation. This illustration is rendered in a rich, golden hue, evoking the luxurious feel of silk and fine craftsmanship.
The image above showcases the evolution of the brand's central motif. The sketching process began with loose forms, gradually refining the posture and details of the woman and the spinning wheel. The goal was to convey a sense of grace, focus, and the timeless nature of traditional craftsmanship. The choice of a kneeling posture emphasizes the grounded and hands-on aspect of textile production. The spinning wheel, a universal symbol of creation and thread making, was deliberately stylized to complement the figure.
